Painting of CMR and Me, by the Oh-So-Crafty Oma
Yes, my birthday is over for another year, but in the Knot Sew Crafty household we have what is known as "Birthday Week," so I have a few more days to celebrate. You see, CMR's birthday is a mere five days after mine--that'd be June 14th or Flag Day for you patriots out there--so we like to celebrate, in ways big and small, for the days in between. Actually, June is a month full of celebrations for us, as Auntie J's birthday and our Wedding Anniversary happen in June, too.
And this year is even more exciting because Auntie J. is due to have Baby Nephew in eight days!
You deserve a whole week! It's a big birthday after all. Mine went on for far too long, I started calling it my Big Fat Greek Birthday.
By the way, I love those Japanese books - can I order them right through the link? Although I've never actually been there, I love all things Japanese. Have you ever visited a big Japanese supermarket? They have the most amazing tupperware! It's the craziest thing, but I'm obsessed with it. They also have these hard-boiled egg molds in the shape of bunnies. All best, Alison

I love birthday weeks. I happen to share (almost!) my birthday with my sister. As a child I hated it, but now we love sharing our special days (they are one day apart). It is always special to celebrate with loved ones on birthdays. Happy birthday to you and all of those who share your birthday! P.S. I just found your blog today and I enjoy it very much. I'm going to have to keep on reading now.
