That video just brightened my day. Thanks for the laugh!

Oh, please please do more homeschooling the 70's. I feel like a kid again. It's all coming back to me in a rush. You must be exactly the same age as me.

This made me chuckle. For the longest time, mimes made me seriously frustrated...talk aready! I felt. Not so anymore!

Some years ago, I interned in a theater with a woman whose husband was a hard-working, but seldom-employed, clown and mime. One day, during a coffee break, she was bemoaning the difficulty of their financial circumstances and she said to me — in complete seriousness — "it's hard for me to admit this, but no one takes clowns seriously anymore."

Yes, I kept a straight face. But it wasn't easy.

oh, this is glorious and splendorific!

found this on wikipedia (i always like to know "whatever happened to ...")

Shields and Yarnell were married in 1972 and divorced in 1986. Shields opened a jewelry and art business in Sedona, Arizona, and Yarnell is based in Norway. They still reunite periodically to tour with their act.

In 2002, Shields met Laurie Burke, a widely renowned singer-songwriter in Sedona, and the two were married on September 25, 2006. Sadly, Burke died seven months later, just days after doctors determined that she had a brain tumor. [4]

Shields and Yarnell were expected to wrap up their "Farewell Reunion Tour" in November 2007.[5]

Oh I love it! mimes are too cool!

Maiz--I only love those two specific mimes, and I took mime classes in rainbow Mork suspenders, too! I always knew we were kindred spirits!

And, yes, I'm sure you can picture me in my rainbow Mork suspenders taking mime classes in the 70's!

I can't believe you love mimes and hate balloons!
xo, Maiz

  • Hi, I'm Alexis, wife of CMR, and mother of Beatrix, Willa, and India. Right now I'm not so crafty, but through my explorations of crafting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, gardening, printing, writing, photographing, and lots of other "ings," I hope to find my way to a craft that I love. I'm so glad that you dropped by. I hope you find something you like, and I hope you leave me a comment to let me know that you were here.
