Oh, Michael Ruhlman, what have you done to us?
Food writer extraordinaire Michael Ruhlman recently had a breakfast pizza on his blog. We are highly suggestible, and happened to have fresh mozzarella on hand, so we made breakfast pizza this morning. It was good good good. (The picture above does not do it justice--does anyone have food styling tips?) Pizza dough with egg, bacon and fresh mozzarella. So simple. So easy. So tasty. I would like to eat that specific pizza once a month for the rest of my life. It's a little rich to eat more often than that, but the basic idea of breakfast pizza has many interesting possibilities--Roasted Fruit pizza? Butter and Jam Pizza? Cinnamon toast pizza?
I might have found my new life's passion...
