Oh Martha! Your new book just arrived, and I think you might be the one to cure my knot-sew-craftiness! After reading the Encyclopedia of Crafts from cover to cover, I feel like I could do all of the crafts. Not as well as Martha and her staff, naturally, but enough to have fun and end up with a presentable finished project. I'm going to gold-leaf and stick shells on every inch of my house!
Do you watch Whatever, Martha? It is like Mystery Science Theater 3000, except with old Martha shows. It's incredibly funny, and proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Martha has a great sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's a mensch! I also like it because Martha's daughter, who hosts with friend Jennifer Koppelman, is named Alexis. :)
**I am not going to show my granny square today because it looks almost eerily like yesterday's. Tomorrow, I will try for some variety!
Well, thank.you.Alexis. I am sitting in the gallery today, more than a little bored. I just spent about half an hour crying...crying, I tell you... from laughing so hard at Whatever, Martha! clips on You Tube.
This counts as working, right?
Thanks for the link and the laughs. take care, tara

She has so many cool beachy craft projects too, with shells and all! I wonder how many of those are in the book...

This is definitely on my shopping list for my next trip home: so excited about this (and the new Martha Cupcakes)!
