Tedious
--Christmas music playing at Target. I actually quite like Christmas music--at Christmastime, but I'm afraid I really must draw the line at "Silver Bells" before Halloween.
--Gallstones. Yup, I've got 'em, and a lovely surgeon is going to take out my gallbladder in a few weeks. Aside from the fact that I have to have surgery, the most alarming thing is that I cannot eat ANY fat at all until then! I'm trying to imagine how I will get through Halloween without even one little tiny Reese's Peanut Butter Cup...
If you have any beloved non-fat recipes of any kind, please send them along, and let me know what's tasty or tedious for you this week!

Sorry to hear about the gallstones. Yikes.
Good luck on the no fat. You can do it. It's better than the pain and is only a short time.

Ooo, Alexis, I feel your gallbladder pain. When I was pregnant with my first I developed gallstones and had it removed six weeks postpartum. I told the nurse before she put me under for the procedure to take that damn thing and throw it in the garbage!
Tasty for me is also that awesome chore chart - tedious will be trying to make my kids stick to it.
Take care...!

So sorry about the gallstones. Hope you're feeling much better after the surgery. And oh dear to the no fat diet! Make sure someone saves you a peanut butter cup! K x

I'm so sorry to hear that you'll be having surgery. Please let me know when you're going under so that I can be neighborly. Get well soon!

Sorry about the surgery! Even routine surgery still feels like a big deal to me...
I'm with you about Christmas music -- I love it in December. Target also has had Christmas decorations up for the past two weeks, gradually filling in the aisles as Halloween stuff sells out. It's my favorite big store, but that does make me nuts.

Oh how awful, you poor thing!
I had pancreatitis two years ago and it was a lot of the same lowlowlow fat-ness. I ate a lot of soup.
And I saw a recipe that you can puree a can of black beans, mix it with a brownie mix and it'll come out fine as fat-free ( or almost?) brownies.
Also, popsicles. When I couldn't eat a lot, at least I could crunch on those and feel like I was eating.
Good luck!

Apparently it's gall bladder day, this is so weird, I missed the gall bladder part in my last visit over here, but wrote about it over at my blog earlier today!
You know, I had mine taken out 2004 but nobody told my to go easy on the fat. It went well anyhow! But be careful with alcohol - since after the operation I've been terribly sick the day after - and I've never been drinking much. Good luck!
