Happy Halloween.
Your Japanese maple is lovely.
We used to have one in our yard when we lived in NC. It was my favorite tree in the yard.

Those pics are unbelievably gorgeous. You can never go wrong with Japanese maples. Someday I would love to have one in my yard!

I've been struck by them lately as well. Yesterday I parked by car on Valley and took photos of one just up the street from your house.
Those pictures are perfect.

Those red leaves are stunning. All of my leaves fell yesterday. Every single one dropped for the most part...on to raking!

Mesmerizing, right? There is one by a school I used to teach at and I often had to fight the urge to just go lie on their lawn and stare up at the pattern made by the leaves against the sky. I could have spent hours there under that tree in a strangers yard.
