What a lovely, giant granny! I soooo dislike sewing in the ends, too, but I suck it up because crocheting those granny squares is just so much darn fun.

Oh honey, I avoid small grannies like the PLAGUE because I hate, hate, hate sewing in the ends. Did I mention I hate it? You couldn't pay me enough to do that for someone.

That aside, this one is great! Wahoo!!! Congrats to you and lucky Beatrix! You're looking pretty crafty to me!

great granny almighty that's an awesome blanket!

One of my resolutions this year is to learn to make granny squares, so thank you so much for the link. Yours is so cool (though I think I better start a bit smaller)!

And I'd love someone to come finish my knitting projects for me. I don't mind weaving in the ends--it's sewing together the pieces---aaargh!

I love it!

It looks great!
Hey, you get much farther along than I do -- I still have half-finished needlepoint kits from when I was about 11. And a bag of quilt pieces for a high school graduation present for my brother (designed by him, colors chosen by him). And a great jumper pattern and soft corduroy to make it. Hmm...my house is full of these things!

  • Hi, I'm Alexis, wife of CMR, and mother of Beatrix, Willa, and India. Right now I'm not so crafty, but through my explorations of crafting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, gardening, printing, writing, photographing, and lots of other "ings," I hope to find my way to a craft that I love. I'm so glad that you dropped by. I hope you find something you like, and I hope you leave me a comment to let me know that you were here.
