Laura Matheny

I've never been a fan of "butter" microwave popcorn, but even if I were, the following would have put me off it... On my way to work, I drive by a petroleum refinery, and once or twice a week, it smells EXACTLY like that butter microwave popcorn. Makes me wonder what's in that stuff.

I'm really trying to focus on the foods I put in my body these days. I read the ingredients in my coffee creamer and immediately threw it out the other day. Yikes!

I was shocked this time I was in the states, going to the supermarket and reading some food labels here and there. They can't leave food alone!!! I was craving yogurt. I couldn't find one that hadn't been messed up with. They all had something sneaky added. To my surprise, the most genuine thing I was very happy to stock up on were Reeses. And funny (not) how some things say: with real fruit. We're lucky in Europe because fake fruit doesn't exist, yet.

  • Hi, I'm Alexis, wife of CMR, and mother of Beatrix, Willa, and India. Right now I'm not so crafty, but through my explorations of crafting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, gardening, printing, writing, photographing, and lots of other "ings," I hope to find my way to a craft that I love. I'm so glad that you dropped by. I hope you find something you like, and I hope you leave me a comment to let me know that you were here.
