Today, my inaugural Make My Day Award goes to Ben Folds, for continued excellence in songwriting, brilliant judging on The Sing-Off, and, most importantly, for responding to my question on Twitter! It's embarrassing how giddy it makes me to think that Ben Folds took 20 seconds out of his day to tweet me...
My question: "What are rubbing seconds?" (He used that term on the show).
His response: "minor second - two notes exactly half step apart. they rub for second as a passing interval. its just what i call em"

I think I would geek out if he responded to my Tweet...lucky gal!
He came into a bookstore I worked out years ago, but I was so sick that day that I steered clear. Turns out, it was just 'morning' sickness (which I found out later that day!), so he wouldn't have caught a bug from me...so I wish I'd talked to him!
