--the new issue of Country Living UK arrived today and I need to spend part of the afternoon dreaming about being a smallholder in the English countryside.
--the new issue of Living etc. arrived today and I need to spend the other part of the afternoon dreaming of living in a fab modern loft in London.
--the Red Sox and Yankees are playing each other and my participation is VITAL to the outcome.
Also, I am fascinated by Jason Giambi's new moustache...
I'm sorry for my lack of creativity here, but all I can say is - eeeew. There is only one man who I've ever seen pull off a mustache, and it's NOT Jason Giambi.

I'm embarrassed to say that I do feel that way, especially about Country Living UK. It's just so perfect in every way that I need to keep it near me. You could come over for coffee sometime though, and I'd certainly let you look at Living Etc. for a few minutes...

Well, thanks. I am now the proud owner of a brand new subscription to Country Living UK, via Amazon. Of course, someone more frugally minded (or less insane) than we are might ask why, given that we live a few short blocks from each other, we couldn't possibly SHARE our subscriptions to these ultra-pricey imported magazines. I am a fairly giving person - I can share many things, even give them away now and again (and I know that you certainly are the most generous person I have ever met). But sharing British shelter magazines? That might be taking the whole frugality thing just a bit too far. I assume you'd agree.

I think you can get them both from Amazon's magazine department. They are not cheap, not at all, but they restore my sanity, so I feel that they are worth it for me.
I think I originally got them from a cheaper magazine importing company, but I can't find the link for the life of me. I'll pass it along when I do...

British Country Living and Living Etc. I am so jealous! All I got today in the mail was my 12 year old son's report card and a few bills. Lord knows I could USE a magazine diversion right about now - especially a British one! How does one subscribe to those magazines from the US? Is there a link you could share?
