I love it! I definately need to start writing some of these things down too. What pops out of kids' mouths (often at the WRONG time) is so precious. They only stay curious, forthright and bold for so long. Before I know it they won't even want to walk next to me (my mom tells a mean story of how I refused to even walk down the sidewalk with her when I was 13...)
I love your back to school reading list too - I've read about half and am taking some recommendations from you to the library with me today.

I love it! Sometimes my kids drive me buts, too. I need to meet that India in person. Little Willa must really be getting it from both sides now! She'll probably grow up to be an amazing diplomat.
Here's my latest favorite from my big guy:
Me (talking to Joe): I really want to clean the junk out of the closets, but sometimes it feels like the pit is too deep!
Diego: Is the expression, "the pit is too deep" somewhere between "under the gun" and "over the edge?"
I could write a book of all of the funny things that guy says. I can't wait 'til Ruben starts talking, too!

I believe the correct spelling here should be "butts." And might I suggest you make the emphasis clear, as in: "And you are driving me BUTTS!" Finally, I think your readers would be pleased to know that both of these interactions led to laughing fits. Indeed, just mentioning one of these punch lines can elicit a laughing fit. I am definitely putting these in my "Funny Bits For India's Wedding Toast" file...

I love the funny things my boys say, too! It's so important to write them down because otherwise I know we'll forget!
