What's Tasty + What's Tedious

Loobylu and Meet Me at Mike's are doing a meme called "What's Hot + What's Not" and I thought I'd join in.

Since I've never cared for the word "hot," except as a description of temperature, mine will be "What's Tasty + What's Tedious." 

I also cannot be counted on to do a weekly feature, so it's going to be 

what I like to call an "occasional feature."

Tasty

--being able to get comments again. Hooray!! Please leave one today!

--Auntie J is blogging again at Venn Circus.

--Maya of Springtree Road is selling yarn at her etsy shop 

to benefit breast cancer research.

--Boomerang is giving away a free episode of their audio magazine. My kids 

love it because they learn cool things, and I love it because there are no 

mentions of Disney or princesses!

--The Small Object has super-cute things for sale... I bought one of each. 

Simply could not resist.

--Getting a Direct Message from the Dalai Lama on Twitter.  

I know it's not really him, but still...

Tedious

--Having lots of yarn, but none of what I need to make what I want to make!

--Having a cold and running out of orange juice.

--Sibling rivalry. Now that Obama has the Nobel Peace Prize, maybe he 

can come to my house and arrange a peace accord 

between my three girls.

--All of our friends in California have new babies, and I don't get to 

smell their delicious baby heads!  

(I'm talking about you Julio, Sage, Emmett, Bodhi, Tambry, and Roman! 

Please keep your baby smells until I come visit!)

--Typepad is doing wonky formatting things! Boo!

I like tasty and tedious. What was it about our parents that made us never able to really feel comfortable using teen slang?! Anyway, tasty is that Theo is napping and I have a sitter for Eli. Tedious is that I spent the afternoon cleaning and grocery shopping and cleaning up my studio. Maybe one day, I'll actually paint there!

Tasty:
It's the weekend!
My son voluntarily stopped playing his Nintendo DS this morning to watch a TV show, which hasn't happened since he got it for his birthday (we limit his time and have to tell him to turn it off most days).

Tedious:
I have so much school work to do and will probably be at school working for a chunk of the weekend.
My son has some stomach bug and is home sick. Nothing too serious, but still...
Worried about the backlash from Obama's peace prize (which I believe was a little premature...)
Tired of the rash I have over my entire torso that's itchy. It supposedly takes 6-10 weeks to go away. I've had it for three.
